Portrait Commissions are here!

I’m excited to offer a limited number of portrait commissions until November 20th (or until full).

The fine print……..

• Portrait will be oil paint on primed wood panel.

• Portrait will be 9” x 12” x 3/4” *

• Portrait is for one person. *

• I will use a digital photo reference you provide for the portrait. Some photos make better paintings than others. I can help you determine if the lighting, composition and clarity of your photo are workable. If not, I can help you identify a photo that will make a good painting reference.

• Please allow 2 weeks for the initial painting to be completed.

• Oil paint takes a while to dry. I will let you know when your painting is dry to the touch and can be transported. This can take 2-3 weeks. If you would like me to varnish your painting, that can take an additional 3-4 weeks as the paint needs to be cured before varnishing.

• This portrait is offered at $500. I request a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold your place. The balance is due upon completion. Shipping is offered for an additional fee. Payments will be handled through my website.

A note about painting……

I very much want you to love the portrait you receive. If there is damage to your painting when you receive it I will do everything I can to make it right. Please note that art is subjective. The final painting will not be photorealistic. Instead, each portrait is the artist’s interpretation of the photo reference. For this reason, I can’t offer revisions or aesthetic changes to your portrait. The images on my website are a good representation of the style of portrait you are commissioning.
